Our mission

Keep volunteers in their community.

TPSTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built to deliver affordable training to rural departments - so volunteer members can stay certified, stay sharp, and stay in-district when the call comes. We're registered with the State Firefighters' Association, the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, the Texas Department of State Health Services, and the Department of Public Safety.

Who teaches

Cadre with field hours.

Every TPSTA instructor is an active or recently-retired responder. Credentials are listed - the experience behind them is what shows up in class.

Our leadership + senior staff bios will appear here as we publish them. Every TPSTA class is led by an accredited TX/national-level instructor.
Programs

Five core divisions.

From first-time volunteer firefighters to working paramedics chasing continuing-ed hours, every track lives under one of these five divisions. Click any tile for the full course list, accreditation, and enrollment.

Rescue Task Force

Not a course - a deployable team.

TPSTA's Rescue Task Force is a stand-up team of vetted instructors and field responders that activates for natural disasters: hurricane response, wildfire support, flood rescue, and mutual-aid mobilizations across Texas. Departments and emergency-management agencies can request the team through the link below.
