Built for the rural first responder.
Founded October 8, 2018 in Bastrop, Texas - a 501(c)(3) nonprofit closing the training gap for rural fire departments, EMS agencies, and volunteer teams across the state.
TPSTA was founded to close a gap that rural Texas has lived with for decades: the nearest accredited training was hours away, and every day spent at a class was a day away from the community’s one ambulance or one fire truck.
We run our programs locally. Instructors travel to the department when possible, course schedules accommodate shift rotations, and tuition is priced to not be a barrier to someone stepping up to serve. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit we’re supported by training tuition, partnerships, and grants - not by shareholders.
