BLS / CPR Certification in Bastrop, Texas

Tuition$150Length~1 dayCertifiesBLS / CPR providerDeliveryIn-person

TPSTA offers BLS and CPR certification in Bastrop, Texas for $150. It is an American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support course that takes about a day, and it is built for healthcare providers, students entering clinical programs, and workplace responders who need a current card. You leave certified and able to run CPR, use an AED, and manage a choking emergency with confidence.

CPR is the single most useful skill a person can carry. When a heart stops, the minutes before EMS arrives decide whether someone lives, and a bystander who knows CPR is the difference. BLS (Basic Life Support) is the provider-level version of that training, the card hospitals, clinics, and EMS programs require.

Scheduling is flexible - we do not run this on a fixed cohort calendar. Contact us and we will set the next class around you.

What you'll learn

The course is hands-on, because CPR is a skill you have to practice, not just read about. You train on manikins and an AED trainer until the skills are automatic.

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • Using an automated external defibrillator (AED)
  • Relieving choking (foreign-body airway obstruction)
  • Bag-valve-mask ventilation and rescue breathing
  • Team-based resuscitation and the chain of survival

Who needs BLS / CPR certification

BLS is required for a wide range of people: nurses, medical and nursing students, EMTs and paramedics, CNAs, phlebotomists, dental staff, and anyone entering a healthcare clinical program. Workplace responders, coaches, childcare staff, and employees whose jobs require a CPR card also take this course. If you are enrolling in our EMT or allied-health programs, a current BLS card is part of getting started.

Certification

The course is aligned to the American Heart Association Basic Life Support standard - the same guidelines hospitals and EMS agencies teach. You complete hands-on skills verification with an instructor, which is why this cannot be done fully online. On successful completion of the hands-on skills check you receive your official American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider card.

Cost and delivery

Tuition is $150, and the class is in person at our Bastrop campus so you can complete the required hands-on skills check. Most people finish in a single day.

How to schedule

Because CPR is short and in demand year-round, we schedule it flexibly rather than on a fixed cohort calendar. Reach out with your timing or your group's size and we will set the next class. Departments and employers can request a group session on site.
